Not an emergency service

My sessions, website, email and social media are not emergency services, and I may not see messages right away. If you are in crisis or in danger in the United States, call 911, or call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Outside the United States, contact your local emergency number.

My services

I offer consultation sessions for individuals, couples and families, online via Zoom or in person in Irvine, California. My sessions do not replace medical, psychiatric or emergency care. If I believe another professional or service could help you more, I will tell you.

No guarantee of results

Every person, couple and family is different. I bring care and professional skill to our work, but I cannot promise a particular result, and progress depends on many things outside my control.

Educational content

My articles, videos, social media posts, lectures and workshops offer general education. They are not individual advice, and they do not create a professional relationship between us. For guidance about your own situation, please book a session or speak with a qualified professional.

Booking and payment

• You can book through my website, which uses Acuity Scheduling, or by email. Please give accurate details.
• Prices are shown in US dollars. Couples and families book the same sessions at the same prices.
• The 20-minute introductory session is free.
• All paid sessions and programs are paid in full in advance to secure your booking.
• You can reschedule with at least 3 days' notice, and a paid session can be moved to another date.
• Sessions you cancel or miss are not refunded. If I cancel a session, or end a program early, you can get a refund as my Refund & Cancellation Policy explains.

Online sessions

By booking an online session, you agree to meet by live video on Zoom. Before our first online session, I will explain how online sessions work, including their benefits and limits, and ask you to confirm your consent.

To protect your privacy on your side:

• join from a private place where you cannot be overheard, and use headphones if you can;
• use a secure internet connection rather than public Wi-Fi;
• keep Zoom updated and do not share your meeting link;
• tell me if anyone else is in the room.

Neither of us may record a session without the other's consent. California law generally requires everyone's consent before a confidential conversation is recorded.

Online sessions are available only where I am permitted to provide them, which can depend on where you are at the time. I may ask you to confirm your location at the start of a session.

In-person sessions

In-person sessions take place in Irvine, California. I will share the address and arrival details when your session is confirmed. If you need an accommodation, please tell me when you book.

Lectures and workshops

I give lectures and workshops for organisations and communities; to ask about one, email me. The fee, schedule and cancellation terms for each event are agreed in writing. Workshops are educational, not individual sessions. In a group, I cannot guarantee that other participants will keep what you say private, so please share only what you are comfortable sharing.

Using this website

Please use my website lawfully. Do not try to disrupt it, access it without permission or copy its content in bulk. I work to keep the website accurate, but information can change, and I may update or remove content at any time.

Intellectual property

The content of my website and materials, including text, images, videos, handouts and the RAMA METHOD™ name and framework, belongs to me or is used with permission. You may use it for your own personal, non-commercial purposes and share links to it. Please do not copy, sell, adapt or teach it without my written permission. RAMA METHOD™ is a trademark I use for my approach.

Other companies' services

Booking, payments, online sessions and social media are provided by other companies, including Acuity Scheduling, Squarespace, the payment processor connected to my booking system, Zoom, Google and social media platforms. Their own terms apply, and I am not responsible for how they operate or for interruptions to their services.

Limitation of liability

To the extent California law allows, my website and educational content are provided "as is", and I am not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of them. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited under California law, including liability for fraud, willful injury, violations of law, or negligence in the professional services I provide.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. If a disagreement arises, I hope we can resolve it by talking first, so please email me. Any court case will be heard in the courts of Orange County, California, unless the law gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms and will post the new version here with a new effective date. The terms in effect when you book a session apply to that booking.
